| Sculpture with Neil Dalrymple Monday 14 April |
An interesting, informative and fun course beginning with a step-by-step demonstration on how to create an animal
form using the clay slab technique and hand modelling. Later in the day there will be an opportunity to try
your hand at sculpting, with guidance from Neil should you need it. Please feel free to bring along your own
source material if you wish. Suitable clay bodies, glaze and colouring, and alternative sculpture techniques will
be discussed throughout the day. Examples of Neil’s work will be available to view, as well as photos showing

Introduction to Brush-on Glazes Monday 21 April |
A hands-on full day workshop introducing a wide variety of techniques and the correct application of our wide
range of brush-on glazes. Ideal for teachers, hobby ceramists and contemporary studios/clay cafés. As this is a

| Introduction to SPECTRUM Glazes (including L&L Kilns) Monday 28 April |
An exciting, hands-on talk & workshop hosted by Peter Wildgoose of Spectrum Glazes. The day will begin with the launch of the new Raku colours from Spectrum and jewellery making with paper clay and raku in the microwave using the Micro Kiln. There will be an introduction to their new glass products for use in the Micro Kiln or
Chameleon Glass Kiln from L&L. Spectrum product Health & Safety will also be covered and there will be a short
session on firing and features of L&L Kilns. Spectrum products can be viewed at www.spectrumglazes.com.

| Raku with John Wheeldon Tuesday 8 July |
A full day course incorporating demonstrations and hands-on opportunities. Covers glaze preparation and application, kiln firing and advice on kiln construction. Please book now as places are limited due to the intensity and content of the course. Pots for glazing will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own low-fired bisque pots if you wish - please contact us for more details. Covers kiln construction, installation, operation and correct use; repairs and replacement of elements; temperature control; various firing cycles and use of cones; kiln furniture; maintenance and safety considerations.

Basic glaze technology; glaze preparation and adjustment; glaze formulation; typical recipes; mixing; opacifiers; colouring pigments; wax resists;

| Payment Terms |
| Course fees are payable with the booking. We may however agree to invoice you. We reserve the right to refuse attendance on the course if payment is not received before the course date.

| Delegate Substitution |
| Substitute delegates may be nominated at any time. There is no charge for delegate substitution providing there is no change of course date.

| Cancellations by you |
If you need to cancel your booking your cancellation must be received in writing at least 14 days before the course date. A full refund will be made of course fees paid. We are unable to process a refund for
cancellations received less than 14 days before the date of the course.

| It may be necessary due to reasons beyond our control for Potclays Ltd. to cancel a course in which case our liability is limited to a full refund of the course fee.

| Information, Fees and Reservations |
All seminars will be held at Potclays in Etruria, Stoke on Trent. Seminars will commence promptly at 9.00am and will finish at around 3.30/4.00pm. We try to keep group sizes as small as possible to ensure you get the most from your day. A buffet lunch and refreshments are provided: Please advise us of special dietary requirements well in advance. Local accommodation is available, please call for details if required.
