Testimonial from Geoffrey Swindell (2014):
"I have been using Potclays' 155-4000 JB porcelain clay since it came on to the market in 2006 and before that its predecessor HF body. All my work is wheel made with an emphasis on turning, only this porcelain clay suits me because it dries evenly inside and out to the leather hard stage giving structural strength and flexibility allowing me to create my very particular surface textures. I fire it to 1280C after a biscuit of 980C in an electric kiln without any slumping or bloating even after much reclaiming and its very white smooth surface shows the finest details. Sometimes it is hard to believe I am using the very difficult medium of porcelain, this clay throws and turns very easily, its behaviour more like a regular stoneware body. If you have never used porcelain before try this one first!"
N.B. Where the product image shows a green label then the example has been fired in an electric kiln in an oxidising atmosphere. Where the product image shows a brown label the example has been fired under reduction. Colours may vary due to screen calibration.
