Green Earthenware Clay

Green earthenware clay is a smooth, coloured body ideal for modelling, jewellery making, and throwing at the wheel. With a soft texture that is ideal for intricate details and fine shaping, earthenware clay is ideal for creative, smaller ceramics, but can be used in bigger projects too. It has a recommended firing range of 1050 - 1080°C and responds well to careful kiln temperature control to help preserve its form and rich colour.

This type of product can be fragile. If this earthenware clay is over or under-fired, it may warp or crack, and any functional pieces, like pots, should be glazed by the potter to ensure they are watertight.

Green Porcelain Clay

Green porcelain clay has a striking, unique body, featuring a vivid turquoise base that shows off an exciting range of greens and blues when fired between the recommended range of 1200 - 1240°C. This porcelain stands out for its colour and its increased plasticity, which make it ideal for wheel throwing and careful modelling.

Despite a delicate and refined appearance, this material finds a home in functional use. Well suited for tableware thanks to being food safe when fired and glazed, potters can create elegant, durable ceramics suitable to be used day to day. With a bold visual impact and refined surface, it's perfect for potters looking to combine utility with beauty.
