David Stonehouse is a Cambridge-based artist and designer-maker who combines contemporary design with artisanal craftsmanship. His work and practice are informed by the inherent beauty of materials, a sense of place, and innovative art and design, and are defined by an evolving personal contemporary aesthetic rooted in craftsmanship.
After gaining a first-class degree in Silversmithing & Jewellery, David Stonehouse was studio assistant to RCA Professor David Watkins, making jewellery and sculptures for international exhibition, before completing an MA in Product Design at Central Saint Martins. He spent time in international design and innovation consultancy before returning to his craft roots to design and make refined objects.
