Our EP and GK front loading kilns share similar features. They are made using a solid angle iron frame, ensuring longevity over the more common folded steel sheet construction seen in other brands. Each unit includes an integral stand, ventilated sheet steel panels (for lower external temperatures), a spy hole in the door, and a roof vent. Finished in heat and rust-resistant grey paint, these kilns also come equipped with a standard ST215 Controller, with optional WiFi and USB capabilities.

Maximum Temperature Guidelines

The maximum firing temperature of these kilns is expressed in Orton cone numbers, for example, 1300°C and cone 10. Please note that long soaks at the higher temperature range could exceed the kiln specifications and invalidate the guarantee. Always check with cones when firing at higher temperatures.

Preparing Your Workspace for Installation

Ensure your workspace floor can support the kiln's weight and maintain adequate ventilation. The kiln should be positioned no less than 250mm from the nearest wall and be a minimum of 750mm from the ceiling. Allow 500mm space behind the kiln and a sufficient gap on one side to provide easy access to the rear of the kiln for servicing. The wall isolator (power switch) must also be easily accessible. To prevent unauthorised access, a kiln cage can be supplied to safely and securely enclose it.
