How Energy Efficient is a Rohde Kiln?
Rohde kilns are recognised for their energy efficiency. The Ecotop series, in particular, features a three-layer insulation with high-quality, microporous back insulation, which enhances energy efficiency. This allows the kiln to fire up to stoneware temperatures using just a standard 230-volt supply.
Installation Guidelines for Rohde Kilns
It is recommended to install a Rohde kiln in a well-ventilated area on a non-combustible, level surface. Ensure that the area can be properly ventilated for safe operation. Otherwise, a ventilation system must be installed. Additionally, the kiln should also be positioned at least 50cm from the walls on each side.
Maintaining Your Rohde Kiln
Regular maintenance includes inspecting and cleaning the kiln's interior, checking the condition of heating elements, and ensuring that all electrical connections are secure. If any elements show signs of wear or damage, replace them to maintain optimal performance. Additionally, it is advised that the kiln be serviced by a professional once a year.

The demand for ROHDE products is constantly bigger than our current production capacities. Moreover, in the last months, substantial measures for our Corona-hygienic concept have not improved this situation. Reasonable protection measures and also more breaks for our colleagues in the production plant have taken precious manufacturing time. Our main focus always lies on keeping the well-known ROHDE QUALITY! We are preparing long-term possibilities to enlarge the capacities. Corresponding organisational measures for more EFFICIENCY in our toploader insulation-construction department, as well as investments in more working places and thus an increase of production capacities in this field are scheduled.
