What are Elements?

Kiln elements are resistance coils that generate heat when current passes through them. When correctly matched to your kiln’s model, voltage, and controller, they help ensure even heating, stable ramps, and dependable results.

Elements naturally wear out with use. Common signs that it’s time to replace them include slower heat-up, programmes overrunning, uneven temperature zones, or brittle or flattened coils. Replacing the correct individual element or element set restores performance and minimises downtime. We stock parts for popular kilns, including options for top-loading and front-loading models.

What is Kanthal Wire?

Kanthal A1 (FeCrAl) is a high-quality resistance heating wire renowned for its durability and oxidation resistance in kiln environments. It is commonly used to manufacture or rewind elements and is available in a range of diameters, from 1.0mm to 3.0mm per metre. This allows for precise matching of groove size, output, and coil life.
