Mayco Workshops and Demos in September '23

After a four year hiatus, we’re tremendously excited to welcome Todd Hickerson of Mayco back to Potclays in September for two full-day mid-high fire workshops, plus a day of demos at our Open Day on Saturday 16 September 2023.
On Wednesday and Thursday before our Open Day, we will be running two separate full-day workshops offering valuable insight into the best use of Mayco's extensive range of Mayco stoneware glazes, Stroke and Coat, Jungle Gems, Elements, Textured glazes, and Mayco Fluxes and Washes.
Are you looking for flexibility in your firing temperatures or creating firing freedom? Todd will help you explore a variety of Mayco glazes that give great results from cone 04-10. Stoneware bisque and glazes will be provided for this class. You are encouraged to bring in a few pieces of stoneware bisque that represent your working style, for test pieces. Through this class you should gain the confidence to take your glazes further, experiment more, and make the most out of just a few glazes.
The first of the workshops will take place on Wednesday 13 September 2023 10:00am to 4:00pm at a cost of £59.99 per person (inclusive of VAT). Mayco has generously subsidised this set of workshops, allowing us to run them at a greatly reduced fee. There will be a maximum of 18 places, and all materials will be supplied. Attendees should bring a packed lunch with them. Light refreshments (water, juice, tea, coffee, biscuits) will be provided all day.
The second workshop will take place on Thursday 14 September 2023 10:00am to 4:00pm. The content will vary from the Wednesday workshop so you may wish to book both days.
