Flexibat Mandala

Flexi-Bats are a great way to add a creative pattern to the bottom of your pot. With a textured puck, beautiful detail is built in to the base of your pottery while you work!
Our pucks are elevated off the bat to push the design 3mm into your pot giving you the opportunity to create a foot around the design while you throw without the need to trim in a foot ring!
The puck is 2.8 inches in diameter. You can make the foot ring as wide as you would like. Because the bats create the pattern and the foot while you work, you spend very little to no time at all trimming the bottom.
Each bat is perfectly fitted for a 10" standard bat pin placement on a pottery wheel. Please note that the two smaller holes in the bat are fitted for standard bat pins and the two larger holes are wider than bat pins so that our additional grommets may be added in. The foam bats are absorbent and stretch around the bat pins of your wheel. The square shape of the bat helps with optimal storage for your work when using multiple bats.
IMPORTANT While Flexi-Bats allow you to create a beautiful design on the foot of your piece, they do take some practice and may not be ideal for beginner throwers. Our bats are made of a flexible material that allows the release of the puck/mold from the clay. Because of this, like any new tool, there can be a learning curve due to the flexibility of the material. Please be open to tips and suggestions outlined in our YouTube tutorial.
Grommets An additional item for you, grommets can be inserted into the LARGER bat pin holes to add a ridged hold against the bat pins. This helps some potters keep the bat in place while they work on the wheel. The center of the grommet is designed to fit snuggly around your bat pins. They are a harder plastic and can help keep the holes of your bat from stretching out over time and maintain a tight fit on the bat pins. Grommets are a personal preference and are not needed for the bat to work, however many customers do find them helpful. There is a pair of larger holes in the bat to insert the grommets into and a pair of smaller holes that will fit on the bat pins without the addition of the grommets. Be sure to select the Bat with Grommet options if this is something you'd like to have. Grommets will not be sold separately.
Orientation Stamps A mini version of the stamp that is on the bottom of your piece, these stamps originally created so potters knew what bat they were throwing on while they worked and to know the orientation of the puck. They have been used for numerous additional reasons since, so we've decided to offer them as an add on. Stick them wherever you want on your bat (or use completely separately). Be sure to select the Bat with Orientation Stamp options if this is something you'd like to have. Stamps will not be sold separately.

Delivery Costs: Your carriage charge will be calculated at checkout based upon the volumetric weight of your order, and your location. If for any reason your delivery charge cannot be calculated at checkout, you will see a message explaining that our sales team will contact you with a quote. You will be under no obligation to accept this and have the right to cancel your order.
We deliver throughout the UK and overseas using a trusted third-party distribution network. Delivery is to kerbside or letterbox only.
Although carriers will endeavour to deliver within the agreed timeframe, unexpected delays due to weather conditions, breakdowns, traffic and other factors may cause some disruption to schedules.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
We are bound by the terms and conditions of our carriers therefore we cannot pursue a claim if these instructions are not followed:-
Special Delivery Conditions: You must inform us at point of order of any special conditions such as restricted access or opening times, otherwise you will be liable for any consequential costs incurred.
Damage/Missing Items: You must check your delivery carefully before providing a ‘clear’ signature to the driver. Outward signs of damage/disruption to packaging must be noted alongside your signature. You must notify Potclays of damage or missing items within 24 hours of delivery.
RETURNS
Returned Goods (Non-faulty): Subject to our prior consent having been obtained, products can be returned to us in an unused condition within 30 days of invoice date. An administrative charge will be levied of 10% of the nett value plus transport, but subject to a minimum charge of £2.00.
Returned Goods (Faulty): If merchandise is returned because of some defect or due to error on our part, full credit/refund will be given. However, customers must contact us in advance so that making methods and user error can be ruled out.
