High Concentrated Glazes from BOTZ
Earthenware glazes are ideal for studio potters, educators, and makers seeking dependable firing performance around Cone 05/04. They produce beautifully glossy, satin, speckled, or transparent results. BOTZ Flüssigglasur (liquid glaze) is renowned for its high concentration, meaning small amounts go a long way. An 800ml jar contains approximately 1.4–1.8 kg of mixed powder glaze, making it a practical choice for busy studios and potters looking for excellent value for money.
To apply, thoroughly stir the glaze and brush the first coat onto clean, dust-free biscuitware. Each glaze has its own consistency, so potters may add a second or third coat to achieve the desired effect. Once dry, pieces can be moved to the kiln. However, for the best results, BOTZ recommends allowing the glaze to dry for a full day. The ideal firing temperature for nearly all BOTZ glazes is around 1050°C.
