• Feldspar is a major flux in clay bodies and in high temperature glazes, some of which may contain 70% or more or more feldspar.
• Potash feldspar is the one generally used and recommended.
• The term 'potash', 'soda', 'lime' etc. denotes the principal, but not the only, flux present.
