Dry ground soda-rich feldspar
Feldspar is a major flux in clay bodies and in high temperature glazes, some of which may contain 70% or more or more feldspar.
A natural, low-cost source of fluxes in glazes and clay bodies where higher 'soda' content is required to reduce melting temperature.
The term 'potash', 'soda', 'lime' etc. denotes the principal, but not the only, flux present.
