About
Peachbloom 4575 (EW)
Contains: Praseodymium/Tin/Chromium (Pr/Sn/Cr)
USAGE RECOMMENDATIONS: This is a Chrome-Tin pigment and as such is recommended for use as a glaze stain only. Not recommended for use as a slip/body stain due to unreliable colour response in some cases.
All colours and stains can be fired up to 1300°C except those marked EW which are stable up to 1140°C but change colour tone above this. All colours in powder form.
Glaze & body stains are normally used for the preparation of coloured glazes (5-8%) or coloured slips (10-18%). During preparation they should be sieved through 120's mesh. Stains can be adapted for underglaze or majolica use by adding flux (usually a frit such as 2263 or a small amount of transparent glaze).
All powdered colours are manufactured to a stringent safety standard but usual precautions should be taken as with any ceramic material in powder form.
Tip: As a glaze stain at earthenware temperatures, 4575 will work better in a glaze which contains a higher level of calcium. We recommend Crystal Clear Glaze 2204-100M.
