Laura Adkins - Industrial Dragon

When I heard back in January that 2024 was the Chinese Year of the Dragon, I promised myself I’d create a dragon sculpture before the year was out. Dragons have always fascinated me — not only for their fearsome beauty but for how they’ve continually evolved in our imaginations across centuries and cultures. That promise became Industrial Dragon, my latest ceramic relief sculpture, which will be exhibited in the RBSA Friends Exhibition 2025, held in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter.
